So, what teaser do I have for you all this time? Well, how about 7 lines from Warrior’s Duty, Nature’s Destiny 4? I know many of you are anxiously awaiting this one, and I’m sorry I don’t have a date for you yet, but I’m working really hard on making this one the big finale. Here goes. . .

*First draft. Unedited. Content subject to change come publication. Copyright, Justine Winter.*

I  wasn’t  going  to  watch  Riley,  Nick  or  Shane  collapse  next  to  me;  I  wouldn’t  allow  that.

Breathing  heavily,  I  tucked  in  my  legs,  getting  the  grip  I  knew  I  needed  for  what  was  about  to  come  next.

Clenching  my  teeth,  I  grabbed  onto  the  hell  beast’s  large  paw  that  held  me  down  and  slowly  lifted  until  the  gap  was  large  enough  for  me  to  escape.

I  rolled  away,  but  I  was  unfit  for  anything  else.  My  body  was  becoming  paralysingly  numb.  I  remained  on  my  side,  dragging  myself  until  all  feeling  had  left.

This  was  it.  The  demons  were  going  to  win.

I’ve  been  staring  at  the  screen  for  hours,  trying  to  determine  the  best  opening  line  for  this  blog  post,  but  my  brain  is  frazzled,  dead  to  any  and  all  words.  I’m  a  blank  dictionary  hiding  in  the  burnt  out  corner,  hoping  for  lexis  to  come  flooding  back  to  me.  It’s  exhausting,  isn’t  it?  Trying  to  find  the  right  thing  to  say  when  you’re  mentally  drained.  I  think  I  need  a  power  nap,  or  something  a  little  longer.  Is  it  too  early  in  the  year  to  go  into  hibernation?

This  month  I  have  a  treat  for  you  all.  While  I’m  suffering  with  airhead  syndrome,  it  hasn’t  escaped  my  attention  that  a  lot  of  you  are  anticipating  the  fourth  and  final  book  in  the  Nature’s  Destiny  series.  As  it’s  the  ONE  YEAR  ANNIVERSARY  for  this  hop,  I’m  going  to  share  with  you  the  first  few  lines  of  the  novel.  I’m  in  the  very  early  stages  of  creating  this  one,  but  I’m  still  aiming  for  a  release  this  year.  Please  bear  with  me!

*Unedited.  Content  subject  to  change.  Copyright.  Justine  Winter.  2015. *

“It’s  all  my  fault.”  I  stared  at  nothing,  blind  to  the  gravestone  I  knew  was  in  front  of  me.  The  rain  catapulted  from  the  sky,  splashing  down  on  the  ground  around  me.

“You’re  gone,  and  it’s  all  my  fault.”  I  sobbed  into  my  cold  hands,  my  body  heaving  with  motion.  I  cried  harder,  my  throat  sore  from  the  lump  that  had  been  building  with  each  tear.

Water  dripped  from  my  hair  and  face  on  to  my  already  soaked  clothes.  I  was  drenched  to the  bone,  my  arse  numb  from  sitting  in  the  middle  of  the  pack’s  lonely  graveyard  for  hours.  My  burden,  my  despair  had  brought  me  here.

“I  tried,  Lara.  I  tried  so  fucking  hard  to  get  to  you!”

Good morning  you  sexy  bunch!  I  hope  you’re  holding  on  to  your  underwear  because  it’s  TEASER  day!  And  boy,  oh,  boy,  do  I  have  a  spicy  little  sneak  peek  for  you.  Grayson  Rush  is  back  and  his  story  has  a  title.  So,  keep  an  eye  out  for  WICKED  SUNSHINE  coming  later  this  year.  Even  the  sequel  has  a  title,  but  I’ll  save  that  for  the  back  mattter  of  this  novel.  😉

Anyway,  who’s  up  for  seeing  some  more  of  our  resident  arrogant  arsehole?

“Creating  pleasure,”  I  say,  watching  Maya’s  eyes  widen  with  a  little  bit  of  shock.

“That’s  your  company’s  motto?  It  sounds  like  a  review  title  for  a  porno.”

My  smile  widens  at  her  obvious  discomfort.  “Everything  I  do  caters  to  society’s   need  to  feel  good.  Drinking.  Exercising.  Partying.  Holidays.  It’s  all  legal.  It  makes  people  happy.  And  there’s  no  better  return  on  investments  than  pleasure.  I  give  it.  I  take  it.  I  make  it.”  I  drip  my  voice  with  heavy  seduction,  lowering  my  tone  to  drive  her  wild.

She  visibly  swallows,  that  small  movement   lets  me  know  she  isn’t  totally  unaffected  by  me.  Thank  fuck  for  that,  because  my  dick  is  choking  on  my  boxers  at  even  the  smallest  thought  of  having  her.

“Is  there  anything  else  you  want  from  me?”

Sex  on  the  table?  “That’s  all  for  now.”

As always,  don’t  forget  to  check  out  these  authors  also  participating  in  a  little  teaser  action. Ooh,  it’s  a  saucy  Thursday!

By now you know what it means when the 11th of each month comes about. It’s all about tantalisingly teasing you with snippets from projects in the works and published ones, too. This month I have a teaser from Alpha Wanted:Part 2, the serial that as of yesterday is out in its entirety. Oh, and did I mention part 1 is FREE on Amazon for a few days only? Though I know this teaser is longer than the proposed seven lines, I couldn’t stop myself from revealing it all. Also, this happens to be taken from one of Ryker’s POV chapters. Enjoy!

“I  just  gave  up  my  shirt  to  save  you.   You  could  be  more  of  a  gentleman  about  it  you  know.”  Kira  folded  her  arms  across  her  chest,   but  I  could  see  the  approval  in  her  eyes.  She  liked  the  way  I  stared  appreciatively.

“Oh,  you  mean  to  save  me  from  the  wound  I  incurred  by  saving  you?”  I  counter  balanced,  batting  my  eyes.

“So,  chivalrous  one  minute,  and  pervert  the  next?”

“I  like  to  think  I’m  well  rounded.”  I  stood,  wobbling  ever  so  slightly  as  I  fought  to  find  my  balance.  “I’m  okay,”  I  said  as  she  hurried  to  hold  onto  me,  wrapping  my  arm  around  her  shoulders.  “Just  watch  out  for  the  trip  wire  next  time,”  I  joked.

“It’s  all  your  fault  anyway.  You  distract  me  too  much,”  she  berated,  heading  into  the  apartment.

I  shook  my  head.  “Says  the  woman  walking  around  half  naked.”    How  was  a  man  to  concentrate  when  the  temptation  of  a  goddess  stood  before  him?

As always there are several incredibly talented authors joining in this hop. Don’t forget to check out what they have to offer. And Author Steph Nuss is offering a signed paperback copy of Pleasured By You on Goodreads. Head over there to enter to win.

Bloody hell! I almost forgot to type this month’s teaser, and I know that would’ve been devastating. Right?  Anyway, now that I’ve remembered, how about a little less chit chat and a little more show and tell. I got you covered. Next month I intend to release all 3 parts of my werewolf serial, Alpha Wanted, a week apart from one another. So, how about a teaser from part 1?  Alrightey then!

“It  was  a  mistake,”  I  forced  out  of  my  mouth.  Even  hearing  the  words  out  loud  turned  my  stomach  against  me.

“Sure  didn’t  feel  like  a  mistake  when  you  were  moaning  into  my  mouth.”

I  turned  to  Ryker,  fixing  my  glare  on  his  rugged  face.  I  hated  how  easy  it  was  for  me  to  lose  control  around  him,  to  lose  all  my  inhibitions  inside  the  pools  of  his  blue  eyes.  I  tightened  my  lips  together.  “It  won’t  be  happening  again,”  I  promised,  keeping  my  grip  firm  on  the  steering  wheel.

“Princess,  that  was  the  best  mistake  I’ve  ever  made.  So  you  can  trust  me  when  I  say  I  intend  to  do  it  again.  I’ll  make  sure  I’ll  never  learn  my  lesson.”

I’m a mixture of excitement and nerves to find out the response to this serial as it’s something I haven’t done before. But, you know what? No great accomplishment was achieved without a little risk taking. So I’m diving in head first. It’s also the closest I’ve come to writing a crime/mystery type of book within the boundaries of paranormal/supernatural goodness. Of course. What’s a little crime solving without a hunky wolf? So be on the lookout for cover reveals/blurbs etc in the next couple of weeks. Yay!

As always there’s many brilliantly talented authors participating on the hop, so be sure to check them out. And GIVEAWAYS! So here’s what’s what this month:

Happy  New  Year!  I  hope  your  year  has  started  off  well – I know mine has! Writing  plans  are  in  place,  productivity  has  set  in,  and  I  can’t  wait  to  share  my  projects  with  you!  Anyway,  speaking  of  projects,  it’s  time  for  our  monthly  teaser  taster.

This  month  I’m  posting  a  snippet  from  a  paranormal  serial  I’m  currently  working  on.  It’s  titled,  Alpha  Wanted,  and  will  release  in  3  parts.  So,  here’s  a  little  overall  background:

Kira  ‘Midnight’  Knight  is  an  agent  of  the  P.D.S.I.S – Paranormal  Division  of  the  Secret  Intelligence  Service – and  is  on  assignment,  working  a  case  the  Director  deems  is  of  utmost  importance.

Ryker  ‘Storm’  West  is  a  Lieutenant  Colonel  within  the  British  Army,  returning  home  from  active  duty  with  his  MWD – Military Working Dog – Nero.

When  Ryker  and  Kira  collide  they’re  forced  into  a  series  of  events  neither  of  them  could  have  predicted.  With  a  fiery  relationship  boiling  between  them,  they’re  faced  with  a  tough  decision.  Follow  orders  or  follow  their  heart.

“Midnight,”  I  acknowledged,  using  my  codename  as  always.
“Status  update,”  the  brash,  female  voice  demanded.
“Shower.  Dinner.  Workout.  Oh,  and  here  comes  his  evening  run  that  always  lasts  twice  as  long  as  his  morning  one.  Nothing  changes.  Nothing’s  new.  Just  him  and  his  dog,”  I  repeated  like  a  robot  trained  with  only  one  paragraph  of  vocabulary.  Every  debrief  had  been  the  same  this  week.
“And  he  still  remains  unaware?”
I  hesitated,  thinking  back  to  the  night  he’d  first  arrived  home.

If  that  tickles  your  pickle  then  keep  an  eye  out  for  this  serial  in  the  next  couple  of  months.  🙂

And  now,  as  always,  check  out  this  list  of  awesome  authors  also  participating  this  month  including  the  giveaways  they  have  to  offer!

Happy  December, everybody, and  a  very  Merry  Christmas  to  you!

As  Christmas  is  two  weeks  today,  (I  know,  right?  Didn’t  that  come  fast!)  I  have  a  holiday-themed  teaser  for  you.  This  time  next  year  I  intend  to  release  a  book  of  short  stories  from  different  points  of  view  within  the  Nature’s  Destiny  world  that  all  focus  on  one  theme;  holidays.  Today’s  teaser  is  from  Sky’s  (Nature’s  Destiny  character) POV,  and  I  will  release  her  FULL  CHRISTMAS  STORY  via  my  newsletter  on  Christmas  day.  So,  if  you  want  IN  on  a  FREE  read,  be  sure  to  sign  up  here.

*Copyright,  Justine  Winter,  2014*

The  cobbled-stone  town  was  a  frantic  mess  of  rushing  shoppers  dashing  into  every  store  for  last-minute  gifts.  Tinsel  covered  windows  and  doors,  and  colourful  lights  hung  like  a  welcoming  invitation,  embracing  the  festive  cheer.

I  wrapped  my  arms  around  my  chest,  pulling  my  coat  tighter  to  keep  in  the  warmth.   A  frosty  breeze  twirled  past  my  face;  my  nose  was  frozen  to  the  touch.

Christmas  was  only  a  few  days  away,  and  every  year  it  was  the  same  depressing,  lonely  holiday  of  my  life.  I  was  always  the  grumpiest  person  around  all  this  holly  jolly  spirit;  the  Grinch  had  nothing  on  me.

God  knows  why  I  thought  a  trip  into  town  would  help  cheer  me  up.

Okay,  so  I  know  that  doesn’t  sound  particularly  happy  and  festive,  and  it’s  not  my  intention  to  bum  you  out  on  Chrimbo  day,  so  I  do  promise  it  gets  better.  Honestly.  Also,  while  I  remember,  the  Nature’s  Destiny  paperback  giveaway  finishes  at  the  end  of  this  month  on  goodreads,  so  hop  on  over  here  quickly  and  make  sure  you’ve  entered  to  win.

Now,  be  sure  to  check  out  this  great  list  of  authors,  and  see  what  brilliant  teasers  they  have  to  offer  this  month.  Seriously,  these  peoples  are  amazing  writers.

It’s  the  eleventh  of  the  month?  Well,  I  guess  you  know  what  that  means  then,  right?  Oh  yes,  several  authors  get  together  on  a  blog  hop  and  post  7-line  teasers  of  their  works.  Fitting,  don’t  you  think,  considering  it’s  #TeaserTuesday  today.  😉

This  month  I’m  trying  out  something  different.  So  far,  I’ve  always  posted  a  teaser  from  one  of  the  novels  in  the  Nature’s  Destiny  series  and  while  I’m  still  working  on  Guardians  Dynasty,  I  wanted  to  showcase  something  else.  Something  I  haven’t  shown  anyone  yet.  Back  in  May  I  started  writing  a  dual  POV(point of view)  MC  romance  novel  (MC  as  in  Motorcycle  Club),  but  I  pushed  it  aside  to  concentrate  on  my  hunky  werewolves.  Though  it  isn’t  finished  (I  hope  to  get  back  to  it  next  year),  I  wanted  to  show  it  off  a  little.   This  teaser  is  how  the  novel  starts,  and  if  you  want  to  read  the  rest  of  the  prologue  then  sign  up  to  my  newsletter  here  which  will  be  sent  by  the  end  of  the  week.

*Unedited,  content  subject  to  change  come  publication. Intended  for  readers  17+.  Copyright,  Justine  Winter,  2014. *

A  broken  heart  was  only  healed  by  the  glue  of  life.  It  pulled  at  the  muscle  while  the  searing  pain  of  daily  struggles  reminded  me  of  the  shit  storm  I  was  a  part  of.  The  seconds  of  the  clock  ticked  by  as  did  the  days.  I  woke  in  the  dark,  and  slept  in  the  dark.  My  body  detached  from  my  mind;  I  lived  but  I  wasn’t  living.

I  was  angry,  pent  up  with  a  rage  that  needed  unleashing.  It  wasn’t  time  yet;  I  needed  to  prepare.

Blimey!  My  days  are  so  busy  melding  into  one  another  that  if  it  wasn’t  for  an  email  late  last  night  I’d  have  forgotten  that  today  is  in  fact  the  11th  October.  You  know,  that  time  of  the  month  when  I,  amongst  others,  share  7  lines  of  our  WIP.  Here’s  what  I  have  to  offer  today  from  Guardians  Dynasty  (Nature’s  Destiny  #3).  Oh,  and  before  I  forget  there’s  some  great  giveaways  going  this  month  that  you’ll  want  to  check  out,  too.  😉

I  faced  the  burning  ashes  of  the  land  I  once  called  home,  dying  with  every  breath  that  left  my  body.  Black  was  all  that  remained  for  my  vision  had  lost  its  affinity  to  colour.  The  creatures  brought  an  indefinite  darkness  that  was  only  ever  highlighted  by  the  raging  red  of  fire.  The  sun  no  longer  existed,  replaced  by  the  moon  for  the  people  to  suffer.  Skin  grew  paler,  death  came  quicker

My  wolf  and  I  missed  those  of  our  kind,  for  the  companionship  only  a  wolf  could  provide,  for  the  ties  of  a  family  bond,  for  the  purpose  of  a  pack.

It  was  at  such  a  time  as  this  when  I  was  at  my  nose-to-the-floor  weakest,  when  an  angel  appeared  from  the  sky.

Giveaways:

Heather  Hildenbrand  is  offering  4  signed  paperback  copies  of  her  Dirty  Blood  series  &  a  LIVE  Q&A  on  5th Nov!  Enter  here.

Every  year  this  day  comes  around  too  fast.  I’ll  switch  on  the  tv  to  find  documentary  upon  documentary  re-living  the  tragic  events  of  13  years  ago,  and  once  again  I’ll  realise  we’re  nearing  another  anniversary.  I  was  only  10  at  the  time,  and  yet  I  still  remember  that  day  even  though  I  had  absolutely  no  idea  what  was  going  on.  While  I’m  busy  writing  today,  creating  fake  tragedies  that  supernatural  creatures  can  stop,  I’ll  be  taking  a  moment’s  silence  to  remember  the  many  that  lost  their  lives,  including  the  brave  men  and  women  that  sacrificed  theirs  to  save  another.  I  only  wish  there’d  been  a  Riley  and  Luna  to  save  them.

So,  speaking  of  Riley  and  Luna,  I  bet  you’re  wondering  what  I’m  going  to  share  with  you  for  this  months  blog  hop.  With  Nature’s  Destiny  published,  and  Sapphire’s  Divinity  published  too,  I  figured  I’d  give  you  something  hot  off  the  press.  I’m  going  to  share  the  very  first  snippet  of  what’s  to  come  from  book  3  which  does  have  a  title.  This  is  the  earliest  I’ve  ever  worked  out  a  title  for  a  book,  and  you  know  what?  I  think  I’m  going  to  share  that  today,  too.  Exciting?  Woohoo!!

Okay,  drum  roll,  please . . .

The  third  book  in  the  Nature’s  Destiny  series  is  called . . .

Guardians  Dynasty

And  here’s  this  months  7-line  teaser  which  I  only  wrote  on  Tuesday;  it’s  that  new!

*Unedited,  first  draft  only.  Content   subject  to  change.*

“The  story  of  the  Blood  Moon,  however,  is  supposedly  the  symbol  of  a  new  realm  on  Earth,   a  new  way  of  living  controlled  by  the  demons’  beasts.”

“Hell  beasts,”  Shane  clarified.  “They  tear  the  world  apart  until  fear  and  evil  is  all  that’s  left  within  the  humans.  No  hope.  No  happiness.  No  laughter.”

“And  the  demons  join  our  world  indefinitely,”  Riley  finished.

If  you  enjoyed  that  then  you  might  want  to  check  out  this  giveaway  I  have  going  on  right  now.  Every  Alpha  needs  a  Beta.  Just  like  Riley  depends  on  Nick  and  Shane,  I’m  offering  the  chance  for  two  lucky  readers  to  become  Beta’s  for  the  next  book  in  the  series.  What  does  that  mean?  It  means  YOU  get  to  read  the  next  story  before  anyone  else  AND  tell  me  what  you  think!  Sound  like  fun?  It  should  be!  Enter  here.  Good  Luck!

Also,  there’s  an  amazing  giveaway  going  with  Janet  Wallace (creator  of  UtopYACon) and  author S.M. Boyce  who’ve  teamed  up  to  offer  2  general  admission  tickets  to  2015’s  UtopYACon! How  awesome  is  that? If  you  want  to  know  more,  I  suggest  you  check  out  S.M Boyce’s  post  here,  and  then  you  can  enter  the  giveaway  here.  Trust  me,  this  is  a  giveaway  you  don’t  want  to  miss.

Every  month  several  other  incredibly  talented  authors  post  their  7-line  teaser,  too.  So  make  sure  you  check  out  the  list  below  to  see  what  they  have  to  offer  this  week.  Have  a  great  weekend!
